Sheboygan, Wis (WHBL)  The discrimination complaint filed by the city of Sheboygan’s former HR Director has been received by the city council and referred to committee.  City Attorney Steve McLean said the complaint will simply be held in committee pending some determination by the State Equal Rights Division which will conduct an investigation.  McLean said if the investigation determines there is probable cause that there was discrimination, the matter will go to a hearing.  Angela Payne filed the complaint last month alleging she was fired last August because she is black and because she refused Mayor Bob Ryan’s sexual advances.  The city has denied the accusations and maintains that Payne was fired because of her performance.
