(Lansing, MI) -- Now that Detroit Public School Emergency Financial Manager Robert Bobb has lost in a court battle over academic control of the district, some lawmakers are urging him not to appeal. Representative Bert Johnson chairs the Detroit caucus in the State House. He posted a message online critical of Bobb's leadership, adding he should accept the court ruling in favor of the school board. The board sued Bobb after he started making changes to academics. He was appointed by Governor Jennifer Granholm to oversee the struggling districts finances in 2009. Bobb has said he is not ruling out an appeal.
