(Holland, MI - WHTC News) - Police arrested two of the state's "most wanted" sex offenders, with one of them on the Lakeshore. Tips led authorities to 27-year-old Greg Pemberton in Holland on February 27th, and 41-year-old Nathaniel Dilworth two days later in Detroit. Their apprehension was part of a statewide sweep of those violating Michigan’s sex-offender registration act last month, which netted 179 people who didn’t correctly report their addresses.
(Grand Rapids, MI - WHTC News) - New details are now known regarding the discharge of an off-duty Grand Rapids police officer's gun at an Allendale bar last week. The manager of Brewstir’s says Officer John Guerrero accidentally left his weapon inside a men’s room, where a woman found it and picked it up, causing it to go off. A bullet went into a cooler on the other side of a wall, but no one was hurt. The officer is suspended pending investigation of the incident.
(Tallmadge Twp., MI - WHTC News) - We’re learning more about a stabbing at a Tallmadge Township house on Monday night. It was initially reported that a process server was attacked by a steak knife at the home on North White Street near 14th Avenue. We’ve come to learn that the assault was allegedly done by a 47-year-old woman, and that the victim was her husband that she had a PPO against. He suffered minor injuries, while she was arrested.
