HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) - An unnamed 18-year-old Holland area man suffered bumps and bruises when his car went off of River Avenue just past the bridge over the Macatawa River yesterday. Authorities say that the driver was apparently going too fast for the curve that sends southbound traffic onto Pine Avenue and rolled over, landing upside down in an embankment. It is believed that he had been reaching for a cell phone at the time of the crash. The driver was not hospitalized, but was cited in the incident, which remains under investigation.
