KALAMAZOO (WKZO) -- The name of the suspect in a tragic and twisted case of drunk driving in a Kalamazoo parking ramp has been revealed.
Police say Lance Laponsie went to the top of the Radisson parking ramp, and drank 20-beers, reportedly trying to work up the nerve to commit suicide by diving off the structure. He changed his mind and struck 8 vehicles trying to leave the ramp, and then defecated on a car. He has been charged as a super drunk, with a blood alcohol count that is more than 2-times the legal limit. They estimate the damage at about 75-thousand dollars.
