As part of the celebrations surrounding Sunday night's Grammy Awards, the Recording Academy and music mogul Clive Davis are throwing a pre-show bash Saturday at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California. According to Forbes.com , The Kinks ' Ray Davies will be one of the stars who will provide the musical entertainment at the party, which will salute Virgin Group founder Sir Richard Branson .
The website reports that Davies will play some songs by his old group at the gala. He will be joined by Jackson Browne , who was among the many guest stars featured on the singer/songwriter's 2010 collaborative album, See My Friends . In addition, rumor has it Davies will sing the Kinks tune "Days" with Elvis Costello , who recorded a version of the song that appeared on the soundtrack to the 1991 Wim Wenders film Until the End of the World .
