Howard Schutter age 92, of Bentheim, died Monday, January 4, 2021 at an area care center.
Howard was a member of Bentheim Reformed Church and worked for Hamilton Farm Bureau Lumber for 42 years. He enjoyed farming for over 30 years and was an avid gardener. Howard was a Marine Corp veteran, serving during the Korean War.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Delores; children, Ron and Nancy Schutter of Hamilton, Randy and Jane Schutter of Bentheim, Nancy and Jim Scholten of Bentheim; 8 Grandchildren, Tracy and Ellis Brewer, Missy and Justin Schutmaat, Lisa and Chris Brown, Edward and Rachel Schutter, Michael and Jessica Schutter, Ross and Gina Schutter, Ryan Scholten, Chris Scholten; 10 Great Grandchildren; Sisters; Lois and Hugh Slenk of Holland, Jean and Ron Meyaard of Oakland; brother-in-law, John Zeerip of Holland; many nieces and nephews.
Due to Covid restrictions, a private family service with military honors will be held on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at Bentheim Reformed Church with Rev. Paul Burmeister officiating. Burial will be in Bentheim Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Resthaven. The family is being served by Yntema Funeral Home.
