HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — Had he not been assassinated in 1968, the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. would turn 92 on Friday, Jan. 15, 2021.
These days, his birthday is a national holiday, celebrated this year on Monday, Jan. 18. State and federal offices, banks, credit unions and the U.S. Postal Service are among entities closed for the holiday, along with Ottawa and Allegan counties. People with municipal business should phone ahead before visiting a city, township or village office.
Holland Museum is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and admission is free, according to the museum’s executive director, Ricki Levine. She told WHTC the museum will host in-person and virtual activities. People can stop by the museum to pick up an activity kit while supplies last.
