HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — Holland Area Arts Council’s regional Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs (MCACA) regranting program is open to applications.
This is an opportunity for artists in the following counties: Allegan, Ottawa Mason, Muskegon, and Oceana.
There will be two rounds of grants. The first deadline for projects or professional development requests is Aug. 3, 2021. The second deadline is Jan. 15, 2022.
Projects must be scheduled between Oct. 1 , 2021, and Sept. 29 , 2022.
The State of Michigan, through the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs (MCACA), pays for these grants, where are administered by agencies in each region of the state.
Types of mini grants in this program:
Up to $4,000 for locally developed, high quality arts and cultural projects aimed at addressing local arts and cultural needs and increase public access to arts and culture. These projects address all cultures to preserve, produce, or present traditional or contemporary arts and culture.
Up to $1,500 for professional development, to help nonprofit organizations and arts professionals acquire services, or develop skills to strengthen the organization’s administrative infrastructure.
Up to $1,500 for Michigan K-12 schools to get arts equipment and/or supplies or repair existing equipment used within the classroom/school setting. Michigan K-12 teachers in any arts discipline, including: creative writing, dance, film/video, music, visual arts, and theatre may apply for this grant. Grants are awarded on a reimbursement basis.
Up to $500 in bus grants to Michigan K-12 schools for the transportation cost of an arts- or culture-related field trip.
