HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – There are some special reasons to stop by the Holland Farmers Market on Saturday (Aug. 7, 2021).
As part of National Farmers Market Week, as sponsored by the Farmers Market Coalition, the Holland Market is holding a photo contest, according to Market Master Sara Cozolino.
“People can come down, take a photo of their favorite thing about the Holland Farmers Market, and share it on Facebook or Instagram,” she said on “WHTC Morning News” during her weekly appearance on Wednesday. “They do have to tag us (#hfmphotocontest) so we see it, and we will randomly choose a winner that could win $50 in Market Bucks.”
For the youngsters, Market staff will be hiding a vegetable stuffed animal in one of the vendor stalls during the Saturday session (8 AM to 2 PM). If a child finds the stuffed animal and tell staff in the front vestibule of the Heeringa Holland Civic Center where it is hidden, they will receive a small prize.
In addition, the People’s Choice winner in the Market’s T-Shirt contest will be disclosed. It will be based on online voting conducted through Friday (Aug. 6, 2021) on the Market’s Facebook page.
The Holland Farmers Market is held Wednesdays and Saturdays, from 8 AM to 2 PM, at the 8th Street Marketplace, between Pine and Maple avenues outside of the Heeringa Holland Civic Center.
