UNDATED (WHTC-AM/FM) – Hope College’s basketball teams were to be in MIAA action last night, but the Flying Dutch’s game at Alma and the Flying Dutchmen’s contest against visiting Trine, along with this evening’s women’s game against visiting Illinois College, were “postponed” by Hope officials due to COVID 19 health protocols. The men’s contest will be made up in Holland on Monday at 7 PM, with a 6:40 PM broadcast on 92 7 The Van; no word yet as to when or if the women’s matches will be rescheduled.
Hope is slated to host Olivet in a men’s/women’s basketball doubleheader on Saturday afternoon, with the men’s game at 2:40 PM on The Lakeshore’s 92 7 The Van, and the women’s contest around 4:40 PM on 99 7/1450 WHTC.
The Grand Valley State Lakers are in Midland to clash with the Northwood Timberwolves in a women’s/men’s doubleheader this evening.
In state major-college basketball last night, Michigan State beat Nebraska, 79-67.
