HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Apr. 27, 2022) – A high-profile Republican gubernatorial hopeful makes a campaign swing through the Lakeshore today.
Detroit area businessman Perry Johnson, the self-described “Quality Guru” in his self-financed effort to secure the GOP nomination in the August 2nd Primary Election, makes stops in his “Small Town Tour” at Pronto Pups on S. Harbor Drive in Grand Haven at 11 AM, at Marlena’s Bistro on Lincoln Avenue in Holland an hour later, and at Siena Cafe on Hoffman Street in Saugatuck at 2 PM. Johnson’s campaign says that the candidate is making a four-day swing across out state Michigan through tomorrow to hear needs and concerns first hand, claiming that Main Streets across Michigan are in “dire need of assistance after years of neglect and inaction by Lansing.”
Meanwhile, another Detroit area businessman who is strongly backing financially his own gubernatorial aspirations, Kevin Rinke, is taking a more thorough bus tour through both peninsulas. His “Won’t Back Down” effort from next Monday through May 11th has a stop listed for Holland next Tuesday, the details of which have yet to be publicly disclosed.
