PORT SHELDON TOWNSHIP, MI (WHTC AM/FM) – Two people were injured in a crash in Port Sheldon Township Monday night.
Just before 10:00 p.m. the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office along with local emergency services responded to reports of a car vs tree accident on Lakeshore Drive north of Forest Lake Drive.
Thy say a 2010 Ford Fusion was north bound on Lakeshore Drive and failed to negotiate the curve. The vehicle then ran off the roadway to the east and collided with a large tree. The two occupants were then thrown from the vehicle and sustained injuries.
An 18-year-old female from Zeeland and a 19-year-old female from Zeeland were both transported from the scene with serious injuries by AMR Ambulance.
The Ottawa County Traffic Services Unit responded and the incident is still under investigation.
