On Friday, September 9, 2022, after a long battle with cancer, Yi Vey Chung moved from death to glory with his family and friends gathered to see him off. Yi was preceded in death by his grandparents Siv Choa and An Ho; his mother, May Young Ho (Chung); and his mother-in-law Shirley J. Brooks. He is survived by his newlywed wife, Catherine Melissa Annette Chung (Missy Brooks); his father, Lang Chung; his father-in-law, James R. Brooks; his siblings, Thomas Chung; Jennie Chung & James Ho; Kathy Chung & Peter Lo; Mun Chung & Margie Floyd; Julie (Chung) & Scott Stark; Missy’s children David and Stephanie; and his nephews and nieces Brandon, Meigan, Holle, Heidi, Andy, Makario, and Alethia.
Visitation will be 5:00-8:00 PM, Thursday, Sept. 15, 2022, at the Langeland-Sterenberg Funeral Home, 315 E. 16th Street, Holland MI 49423. Funeral services will be 1:00 pm, Sept. 16, 2022, also at the funeral home. Private interment will be in Pilgrim Home Cemetery.
