After living a life devoted to her Lord, Betty Lou Love was surrounded by her family as she was peacefully received into the welcoming arms of Jesus on October 30, 2022.
Betty was known by many as the “Betty Crocker” of her family and beyond. She seemed to have an inexhaustible amount of knowledge about every cooking and baking skill, as well as the exact utensil used for each process. She especially enjoyed mentoring the emerging generation about cooking, baking, and canning in an effort to preserve the fine art of being a homemaker.
Betty’s life was made rich by her loving family, church family, and caring friends. Her door was always open, her table was always full, and the coffee pot was always on.
She will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by her children, Joyce (Dennis) Benedict, Barbara (John) Ridlington, Anthony “Tony” (Sharon) Love, and Arthur “Jack” (Julie) Love, Jr. She is also survived by three sisters, a brother-in-law, several grandchildren, great-grand-children, and extended family.
Betty was preceded in death by her loving husband (Arthur “Jack” Love, Sr.), daughter (Diana Love), and parents (Carl and Ruth Johnson).
A Celebration of Life service will take place on Thursday, November 3, 2022, at 1:00 pm, at Shekinah Revival Ministries, 1941 Washington St, Holland, Michigan. Rev. Clif White will be officiating. Burial will be in East Saugatuck Cemetery.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Holland.
Arrangements are by Dykstra Funeral Homes-Mulder Chapel.
