Ruth Marlink, age 91, of Zeeland, passed away on Monday, May 1, 2023.
Ruth was a member of Calvary Reformed Church in Holland. She was a great mother and homemaker and also enjoyed driving school buses for Holland Public Schools for 20 years. She loved card games, especially, Euchre. She was a faithful cheerleader to her children and grandchildren by attending all their sports events. Most of all, her loved ones will remember the Sunday Dinner that Ruth provided, which brought her family together.
Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Randall, in 1998; her siblings: Larry Veldheer, Russell Veldheer, Elmer (Marlene) Veldheer, Don (Francis) Veldheer, infant brother, Wayne; and her siblings-in-law: Jack Millard, George Vander Kooi, and Esther Veldheer.
She is survived by children: Cindy (Fred) Bertsch, Terry (Carol) Marlink, Barbara (Dennis) Graveling, Wayne (Laura) Marlink, Lisa (Troy) DeJonge; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; siblings: Vernon Veldheer, Esther Veldheer, June Veldheer, Glenn (Marcia) Veldheer, Kay Vander Kooi; siblings-in-law: Wilma Veldheer, Lillian Veldheer; and many nieces and nephews.
All are welcome to attend Ruth’s funeral service at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 7, 2023, at Calvary on 8th, 995 E. 8th St. Holland. A time for visitation and lunch from 4:00 – 5:30 p.m. will be held in the church fellowship area. Private family burial will take place in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
