GEORGETOWN TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, May 11, 2023) – A 28-year-old Walker man was hurt in a single motorcycle accident east of Hudsonville in the pre-dawn hours of Thursday.
According to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sergeant Jon Knott, the unnamed biker had just entered westbound I-196 after the ramp from westbound M-6 around 4:30 AM when he lost control of his machine, which skidded along the roadway, causing injuries to the rider’s leg. The man was taken to an undisclosed “area hospital” in stable condition.
No other vehicles were apparently involved. Knott didn’t immediately disclose any circumstances that led to the crash as the matter remains under investigation.
