Joe Fusco, age 49, passed away on Monday, May 15, 2023.
Originally from Colorado, Joe eventually settled in Zeeland and raised his family.
Joe was known for being direct, honest, and had a heart of gold. His strength, passion, and loyalty always stood out. Joe loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and was wise – always giving great advice. Joe enjoyed sports, particularly coaching football and spending time with family fishing and hunting. In addition to his friends and family, Joe had a special soft spot for his dogs – Abbie, Diesel, Maggie, Lucy, and Pete.
Joe was preceded in death by his stillborn daughter Daughn Fusco.
Joe is survived by his wife of 14 years, Leslie; daughter Karissa and son Joshua. He is survived by grandchildren Isaiah and Divina; step-sons Martin, Andrew J. Richards, and Zachary; as well as several step-grandchildren. Joe is also survived by his brother Jonathan (Emily); niece Josephine; and nephew Alex; mother Suzi and step-father Charlie Song; father Robert Fusco and step-mother Sandra. Step-siblings Nivia and Miguel also survive him; as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A memorial service for Joe will be held on Saturday, May 20 at Hope Church – 8265 Felch St. in Zeeland. The family will receive visitors at 10:00 AM until the time of the service at 11:00 AM. A light luncheon will follow.
