ZEELAND TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Oct. 4, 2023) – A 23-year-old Zeeland woman and two of her children were injured in a two-vehicle crash east of Holland on Tuesday evening.
According to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sergeant Eric DeBoer, the unnamed woman and a 27-year-old man, along with the youths, aged four and three, were in a westbound sedan on Adams Street around 5:45 PM when a southbound vehicle on 88th Avenue drove through a stop sign and slammed into that sedan. While the man was not hurt, the other three were taken to an undisclosed “local hospital” for treatment of non-life threatening ailments. The 20-year-old Zeeland woman driving the southbound vehicle was not injured.
DeBoer did not go into details as to what may have led the apparently at-fault driver to go through the stop sign as the crash remains under investigation. Anyone with any further information is asked to contact the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department or Ottawa County Silent Observer (877-887-4536).
