HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, May 17, 2024) – If one watches the video recording of this past Wednesday’s Holland City Council meeting, one would notice that Mayor Nathan Bocks was not in a suit and tie as he presided over the proceedings in Chambers at Holland City Hall.
He was among over 15 hundred volunteers who participated in the Michigan West Coast Chamber’s third annual Community Impact Day, a three-hour afternoon session in which they fanned out at more than 70 different sites to pitch in where they were needed. The city of Holland had some work for them to do.
The annual Tulip Dig at Window on the Waterfront and Centennial parks to benefit the Holland in Bloom urban beautification non-profit is two weeks from Saturday, June 1, while the annual Memorial Day commemorative program is a week from Monday, May 27th.
