LEE TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, June 17, 2024) – A motorcyclist was hospitalized after a collision with a passenger vehicle in southern Allegan County on Sunday evening.
No names were disclosed by Sheriff’s Sergeant Bernard Austhof, who was among first responders dispatched to the area of 56th Street and 112th Avenue around 8:45 PM. That was where the biker, traveling northbound, attempted to pass a slower vehicle, but instead slammed head on into a southbound vehicle.
While those inside of the passenger vehicle were not hurt, the motorcyclist was eventually taken to Corewell-Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids in serious but stable condition. The crash remains under investigation.
