GRAND HAVEN TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Aug. 10, 2024) – A crash involving two of four motorcycles from Wisconsin visiting the Tri-Cities just after 12 Midnight on Saturday morning sent one of the bikers to the hospital.
No names were disclosed by Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sergeant Shane Ryke following the incident on Hayes Street west of 172nd Avenue. It appeared that three of the machines had stopped for a stop sign when the fourth, piloted by a 56-year-old Crystal Falls man, lost control and collided with one of the stopped motorcycles.
That man was taken to Trinity Health Muskegon for treatment of serious but non-life threatening injuries, while the man on the stopped machine, a 62-year-old from Rhinelander, was not hurt.
The incident remains under investigation.
