OLIVE TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Oct. 14, 2024) – A 47-year-old Ottawa County Sheriff’s Deputy suffered minor injuries after his cruiser was hit by a compact SUV in West Olive on Monday night.
No names were disclosed by Sheriff’s Sergeant Greg Rotman after the incident around 7:50 PM on Stanton Street at 112th Avenue. The southbound SUV, driven by a 16-year-old Holland man, with a 17-year-old West Olive girl as a passenger, collided with the patrol vehicle, although the circumstances that led to the crash wasn’t immediately given. The two teens were not hurt.
The Michigan State Police has taken over the investigation into this matter.
