GRAND HAVEN, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Nov. 1, 2024) – It’s November 1st, and winter is not that far off.
We may have been lulled into a false sense of security, with mild weather through the first six weeks of autumn, and memories of heavy snowfall and frigid temperatures fading in the midst of several mild winters. However, those who are tasked with keeping roads clear when inclement weather does come, such as Alex Doty with the Ottawa County Road Commission, are ready for the elements.
Motorists in Michigan are reminded of a new law now in effect that mandates traffic stay behind snow plows at 200 feet, among other precautions.
