ZEELAND TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Nov. 26, 2024) – A 74-year-old Zeeland Township man apparently escaped serious injury, and a driver is being sought, following a pedestrian-involved hit-and-run collision just east of Zeeland on Monday night.
According to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sergeant Chad Coulson, a gray Volkswagen SUV had turned north from Riley Street onto 88th Avenue shortly after 6 PM, crossed over the curb, hit a traffic sign, and struck the unnamed man, who refused treatment at the scene for non-life threatening injuries. The vehicle drove off without stopping.
