SAUGATUCK, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Dec. 19, 2024) – A non-profit institution that has helped enhance Saugatuck’s reputation as a center for the arts along the Lakeshore is getting some financial boosts from a couple of sources.
The Ox-Bow School of Arts & Artists’ Residency announced on Thursday that it has received more than $165,000 in awards from the Ruth Foundation for the Arts and the Windgate Foundation. The Ruth Foundation Core Grant will support general operations, while the Windgate grant will be focused on supporting and expanding partnership programs for underrepresented students over a three year period.
“All of us at Ox-Bow are deeply grateful for this acknowledgement by the Ruth Foundation and the Windgate Foundation. The receipt of these awards not only provides needed support for our programs, but also recognition of our work—our purpose, our values and our vision—which is not only gratifying, but tremendously encouraging.” – Ox-Bow School of Arts & Artists’ Residence Executive Director, Shannon Stratton
It’s the second straight year that Ox-Bow, now in its 115th year of existence, has received an award from the Ruth Foundation for support of its 115-acre campus.
