Muskegon took two from Holland by scores of 54-43 for the boys and 62-44 for the girls; Hamilton and Holland Christian split their games, with the Maroons winning the boys’ game, 53-48, and the Hawkeyes taking the girls’ contest, 47-29; West Ottawa took two from Caledonia by scores of 60-50 for the boys and 46-33 for the girls; Zeeland East and Grand Rapids Union split their games, with the Chix winning the boys’ game, 46-30, and the Red Hawks taking the girls’ contest, 45-32; Zeeland West and Wyoming split their games, with the Dux winning the boys’ game, 84-68, and the Wolves taking the girls’ contest, 51-32; and Calvary’s boys lost at Potter’s House Christian, 59-52.
This evening, Fennville and Saugatuck renew their hoops rivalry, with the boys meeting in Fennville and the girls facing each other in Saugatuck.

Hope College’s teams tangle with those from Alma College tonight, with the men meeting in Alma and the women facing each other at DeVos Fieldhouse. Coverage begins at 7:10 PM for the men’s game on The Lakeshore’s 92 7 The Van, and for the women’s contest on 99 7/1450 WHTC.
Earlier on Tuesday evening, Hope College announced that it’s men’s basketball game with visiting Calvin, set for this coming Saturday, has been postponed due to COVID 19 issues with the visiting Knights. Since Trine also has this Saturday off, the Flying Dutchmen and the visiting Thunder agreed to move up their scheduled game at DeVos Fieldhouse four days, from February 24th to this coming Saturday, with broadcast time at 2:40 PM on The Lakeshore’s 92 7 The Van. The women’s game between Hope and Calvin at Van Noord Arena in Grand Rapids is still slated for Saturday afternoon, with broadcast time at 2:40 PM on 99 7/1450 WHTC.
Grand Valley State swept a pair of games from Davenport last night. In Caledonia, Deleon Brown and Jake Van Tubbergen each had 16 points in the Lakers’ 85-60 road triumph. At the Fieldhouse Arena, Brooke McKinley’s 22 points helped the women prevail over the visiting Panthers, 63-43. GVSU’s teams clash with Michigan Tech this coming weekend, with the men playing on Friday and Saturday in Houghton, and the women playing this Saturday and Sunday in Allendale.
In state major-college basketball last night: Purdue 75, Michigan State 65; Kent State 76, Western Michigan 69; and the Central Michigan at Ohio and Buffalo at Eastern Michigan games were postponed.

The Detroit Pistons, who had their scheduled game last night at Little Caesars Arena against visiting San Antonio postponed by the NBA due to COVID 19 issues striking the Spurs, and who had their scheduled contest this evening against the Mavericks in Dallas scuppered by weather-related energy issues in the Metroplex, will now face the Bulls at the United Center tonight. Chicago’s slated game at Charlotte for this evening will be rescheduled as a result, as the Hornets are also affected by the COVID 19 issues that has struck San Antonio.
