OLIVE TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Jan. 13, 2024) – The image of a “popular” attraction or event is one where people want to attend to enjoy something pleasurable.
A “popular” service offered by the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department rarely fails to fill to capacity, but it for something far less pleasurable.
Registration opened on Monday for the latest “Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events” class offered by the department. It offers what deputies say are “thought-provoking and eye-opening strategies for surviving an active shooter event. Doing the right things can increase your odds of getting through alive.”
The class is slated for Tuesday, January 28th, in the main conference room of the County Administration Building at the Fillmore Street Complex in West Olive (12220 Fillmore St.). The class is free to the public, but space is limited, and registration is required through this online link.
