Grand Valley State swept a pair of basketball games from host Davenport in Caledonia last night. MacKenzie Bisballe came off of the bench to tally 21 points as the Lakers took the women’s opener, 110-51. Kalen Brown had 21 points, but the Lakers needed two free throws from Shamus Thompson with 1:22 left to take the lead for good in winning the men’s nightcap, 62-60. GVSU’s teams are in Chicago to face Roosevelt on Monday evening.
In state major-college basketball last night, Michigan fell at Minnesota in overtime, 84-81.
