New heroes stepped up as Grand Valley State swept a basketball doubleheader from visiting Parkside in Allendale last night. Molly Anderson tallied a career-high 13 points as the Lakers won the women’s opener, 72-43. Trevor Smith Jr. scored a season-high 14 points as the men topped the Rangers in the nightcap, 59-49. GVSU’s teams entertain Purdue Northwest at the Fieldhouse Arena on Saturday afternoon.
