
Hope College midfielder Sam Bowen has been chosen as the MIAA Men’s Lacrosse Offensive Athlete of the Week.
The senior from Grand Rapids, Michigan (Forest Hills Eastern HS) received the honor for the second time this season and the third time in his career.
Bowen totaled five goals and two assists over two victories last week which earned the Flying Dutchmen at least a share of their fifth league championship.
The business major scored a season-high four goals, including the game-winner, during a 13-7 victory at Kalamazoo College on Tuesday.
Bowen recorded one goal and two assists during an 8-5 victory against visiting Trine University on Saturday.
The five goals for the week brought Bowen within two goals of reaching the 100-goal career milestone.
