Tall Ship Stuck in South Haven, No Trip to Holland for Tulip Time in ’25

SOUTH HAVEN, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Apr. 30, 2025) – There will be no Friends Good Will in Holland in 2025.

It’s not because of any animosity-related matter, but a casualty of the elements, that the replica tall ship will remain docked at its home off of the Michigan Maritime Museum in South Haven, instead of sailing north into Lake Macatawa for a ninth annual appearance during the Tulip Time Festival. Director of Membership and Marketing Brett Paige explained that low water levels on the Black River is to blame.

There will be special viewing times during the festival’s run for those who wish to drive to the Michigan Maritime Museum in South Haven (260 Dyckman Ave.) for touring the Friends Good Will.
