HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, May 9, 2025) – It’s day eight of the 96th Tulip Time Festival, with a sense of anticipation in the air for the final weekend of Holland’s annual signature event.
The Friday schedule begins at 8 AM with the Tulip Immersion Garden at Beechwood Church (895 Ottawa Beach Rd.). Historic Walking Tours from Window on the Waterfront Park (71 East 6th St.) start a half hour later. At 10 AM, the De Familiedans-Story Time is at Centennial Park (Central Avenue at West 10th St.), the Quilt Show in the Midtown Center (96 West 15th St.), and the Art in Bloem Fine Art Exhibit in the Holland Area Arts Council building (150 East 8th St.).
Afternoon activities start at 1 PM with the movie “From Wilderness to World Class” at the Knickerbocker Theatre (86 East 8th St.). The Skerbeck Carnival opens in the parking lot of the Heeringa Holland Civic Center Place (150 West 8th St.) at 3 PM, a Cutting Board Workshop begins at 4 PM inside of Warehouse 6 (136 E. 6th St.), and Dutch Dancing is in Centennial Park from 4-5 PM.
This evening, a Wine and Cheese Tasting Class is at 6:30 PM in Warehouse 6, and at the same time, Dutch Dancing is on East 8th Street between College and Central avenues, while country star Rodney Atkins has a 7 PM concert at Central Wesleyan Church (446 West 40th St.).
