HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, May 21, 2025) – The Tulip Time Festival is not called Holland’s annual signature event for nothing.
On Tuesday, Executive Director Gwen Auwerda announced that over 976,000 attendees came to the Tulip City during the 10-day run of the festival’s 96th renewal, from May 2nd through the 11th. It’s a new record for the event, and she attributed the increase to, “The combination of vibrant tulip displays, engaging
cultural events, and favorable weather.”
Auwerda said that this attendance figure was according to the Israeli-based software company Plaicer, and Holland Mayor Nathan Bocks explained how this number was determined.
Audio PlayerAuwerda also estimated that the festival’s economic impact to the Holland community will exceed $50 million, with a firm figure to come when she submits a final report to Bocks and the rest of the Holland City Council later this summer.
