ALLENDALE, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, May 23, 2025) – While the impact of the May 6 election may have been a far cry from the Presidential Election of this past November 5, measures to ensure the accuracy and integrity of this month’s vote are just as stringent as it was six months ago.
On Friday morning, beginning at 9 AM at the Allendale Township offices (6676 Lake Michigan Dr.), a post-election audit will be conducted. Staff from the Ottawa County Clerk’s office will be working with local officials to go over in-person and absentee voter lists, election inspector applications, election commission minutes, public accuracy test ballots, in-person ballot applications, and to hand count all ballots and vote totals.
The process may take some time, but the public is welcome, according to County Clerk Justin Roebuck.
