Tim was a 1987 graduate from West Ottawa High School and received an associate degree from Ferris State University in Construction Management. He then graduated from Davenport University with a degree in IT. Tim was employed by Herman Miller for 22 years as a Systems Analyst and then became an IT consultant for several companies. He was a waterfront instructor at Cran Hill Ranch in the summers while he was in college.
Tim played soccer and baseball and enjoyed coaching his sons and their teams in youth soccer and t-ball, and little league baseball. He was the Varsity baseball coach at Black River Schools. He was a member of the Herman Miller golf league for 15 years having fun after work. He was a UofM Football fan and an avid Detroit Tiger’s fan. Tim’s goal was to visit all the major league baseball fields. He visited several on each of the coasts and some in the middle but fell short of visiting all of them. He made friends easily and considered most everyone he met, a friend. He was a follower of Christ and loved his Lord.
Tim is survived by his sons, Trevor (Clara Phillips) Looman, Wesley Looman; Kim Looman, mother of his children; parents, Rich and Letty Looman; sisters, Jan and Todd Wehrmeyer, Sara and Tom Gortsema, Susan and Pat Collins; 10 nieces and nephews; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
