HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Jun. 12, 2025) – West Michigan food pantries are getting a boost from the Meijer LPGA Classic that begins on Thursday.
The Walker-based retailer, which is a major sponsor of the annual event at the Blythefield Country Club in Belmont, has attached its Simply Give program to the event’s name, spotlighting the 17 years that it has raised around 100 million dollars for stocking 600 food pantries in six states that Meijer has a footprint in.
One of those pantries is Holland’s Community Action House, and Chara Bouma-Prediger is its Director of Food Access Programs at the Action House’s Food Club off of Paw Paw Drive and East 8th Street.
