Ernest Saucedo, lovingly known as Ernie, passed away on May 26, 2025, in his hometown of Holland, Michigan, at the age of 62.
Born and raised in Holland on February 15, 1963, Ernie spent his life grounded in family, hard work, and a love for the hands-on things in life. A builder by trade, Ernie took pride in his craftsmanship until health challenges with his hands forced him to step away. Even so, he never stopped creating, fixing, ortinkering-especially when it came to cars. One of his favorite projects was restoring his beloved Barracuda, a true labor of love. In addition to his talents and hobbies, Ernie had a deep commitment to family. For over 24 years, he helped care for his mother with steadfast love and patience. He also enjoyed quiet moments watching movies and spending time with those closest to him.
Ernie is survived by his children, Jordon Saucedo, Jared (Sarah) Saucedo; his cherished grandchildren, Olivia, Ezra, and Elijah Saucedo; his devoted mother, Willodean Saucedo; his sisters, Deanna “Dee” Robbins and Sylvia Gamez; his nephews, Andrew Robbins, Jesse Gamez, and Cory Saucedo; nieces, Tania (Sherman) McDole and Stacy (Joseph) Cruz; aunts, Linda Box and Sharon Hall; uncle, Allen Box. He was preceded in death by his father Manuel Saucedo, brother’s Rick and David Saucedo, nephew, Joshua Saucedo.
He was deeply loved and will be missed by all who knew him.
A private graveside service will be held to honor his life.
The family of Ernest Saucedo wishes to express their deepest gratitude for your love and support during this time.
