HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Jul. 16, 2025) – A celebration of the Lakeshore’s Latin heritage that has run for more than six decades returns.
The 61st Fiesta, run by Latin Americans United for Progress, kicks off on Wednesday with two hours of youth activities as part of the biweekly Holland Farmers Market at the 8th Street Marketplace. LAUP Outreach and Engagement Specialist Yailin Ramirez says that the fun starts at 9:30 AM.
Audio PlayerIt also is the culmination of a year’s worth of preparations, according to Fiesta committee member Alexandra Darlin.
Audio PlayerLAUP will also be a part of Thursday’s Downtown Street Performer Series with a array of Latino community talent on hand; Mariachi Universal and Ballet Folkloriko will perform during the Friday night Concert at the Park in the Kollen Park band shell; a full day of activities inside and outside of the Heeringa Holland Civic Center Place on Saturday; and a car show outside of the Civic Center on Sunday.
