CROCKERY TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Aug. 13, 2025) – A 15-year-old Coopersville girl lost her life in a single-vehicle crash near Nunica late on Tuesday evening.
No names were disclosed by Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sergeant Tyler VanDoselaar following the incident that occurred around 10:15 PM on State Road west of 112th Street. That was where a pickup lost control, veered off the roadway, and slammed into a tree. The girl, who was sitting in the rear cargo area of the truck, was thrown out of the vehicle upon impact and died at the scene. The other three persons involved – an 18-year-old Nunica man who was driving, along with a 17-year-old Coopersville woman and a 15-year-old Nunica boy – were not hurt.
The incident remains under investigation.
