HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Sept. 1, 2025) – A tradition which goes back two decades to close out the summer vacation season along the Lakeshore returned on Monday.
The 19th Labor Day Truck Parade and Ice Cream Social rolled at 9:15 AM from the Miller Knoll complex in Zeeland, through that community’s downtown district and along Chicago Drive to downtown Holland. About 45 minutes later, more than 70 vehicles ended their trek at the Heeringa Holland Civic Center Place, where two hours of festivities, including truck displays, giveaways, and free ice cream from local maker Hudsonville Ice Cream was offered to all who attend.
This has spotlighted and honored the many and varied industries that call the Lakeshore home since 2006, according to Holland Mayor Nathan Bocks.
