OVERISEL TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Nov. 27, 2025) – A two-vehicle crash northeast of Hamilton on Thursday afternoon led to the death of one person and the hospitalization of three others.
No names will be disclosed by the Allegan County Sheriff’s Office following the incident around 1:30 PM on 142nd Avenue near 41st Street. It appears as if a westbound sedan lost control and slammed head-on into an eastbound pickup truck.
A front-seat passenger in the car died at the scene, while a woman and a 14-month-old toddler in the back seat were taken to unnamed “local hospitals” for treatment, with the woman critically hurt, and the youth in stable condition. The driver of the sedan was treated for bumps and bruises.
As for the pickup truck, the driver was not hurt, while a woman riding alongside was also hospitalized, with her condition not disclosed.
Sheriff’s deputies believe that alcohol was a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation.
