WRIGHT TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Nov. 29, 2025) – A 36-year-old Coopersville woman was seriously injured in a crash that involved a Ottawa County Road Commission plow truck on Saturday morning near Marne.
No names were disclosed by Sheriff’s Sergeant Jon Knott following the 11:15 AM incident on eastbound I-96 approaching 24th Avenue. A 37-year-old Coopersville man driving his eastbound pickup tried to pass the plow truck to the left, but his vehicle apparently clipped the side of the plow truck, sending the smaller vehicle into the median guard wires
The injured woman, who was a passenger in the pickup, was taken to an unnamed “area hospital” for treatment, while the two drivers involved, including the 40-year-old Ravenna man piloting the plow, were not hurt. The freeway was closed for some time, as the investigation into this incident continues.
