Leah Richards tossed in 15 points as Hope’s women cruised past the Belles of St. Mary’s in South Bend yesterday, 92-45. The Flying Dutch are in Kalamazoo for a game against the Hornets next Saturday afternoon.
Grand Valley State split a basketball doubleheader with visiting Saginaw Valley State in Allendale yesterday. Paige VanStee’s 18 points led the Laker women to victory in the opener, 92-45. Marquese Josephs and Triston Nichols each had 17 points, with Josephs’ free throw 10 seconds from time giving the Cardinals the decision in the nightcap, 81-80. GVSU’s women are home to Quincy at the Fieldhouse Arena next Saturday afternoon, while the men return to action on Wednesday, December 17, entertaining Malone.
