Ricardo Ramirez, age 66, passed away on Saturday, February 7, 2026.
Ricardo was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. His family was at the center of his life, and he was deeply loved by all who knew him. He especially cherished time with his grandchildren. Known to his family as the “Gadget Man,” Ricardo was thoughtful, resourceful, and always ready to lend a hand. He loved telling funny jokes, good food, gathering people together, dancing, traveling, golfing, boating, adventure and yet he was also a steady and calming presence. His life was marked by love, laughter, and faith, and he will be deeply missed.
Ricardo’s brother, Michael Ramirez also passed away this week just days after his brother. Those arrangements are pending.
Ricardo is survived by his wife, Marie Ramirez; his son, Nicholas (Jordan) Ramirez; his daughter, Jessica Ramirez; and his grandchildren, Asher, Elias, and Alden. He is also survived by his sisters, Theresa Gonzalez, Anita Robles, Linda (Pat) Sand, and Diane (Dave) Wawiernia; his sister-in-law, Judy Ramirez; his parents, Al and Mary Ramirez; and his many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Ricardo worked as a plastics engineer throughout his career. He was employed by numerous companies in West Michigan and South Carolina before settling in the Zeeland/Holland area in recent years, where he worked for Royal Technologies. He took pride in his work and was respected for his knowledge, dedication, and problem-solving skills.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at Langeland Sterenberg Funeral Home, 315 E. 16th St., Holland, MI 49423.
Another Celebration of Life to take place in the summer on the eastside of Michigan. Date, time, and location TBD.
A private burial will take place at East Holland Cemetery.
