HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — The family of a Zeeland teen missing since April 4, 2021, has announced she’s been found.
Elena “Lena” Carmona is back with her family and they are asking for privacy at this time according to a post on the Help Find Elena Facebook page that said:
“WE FOUND ELENA! SARA IS ON HER WAY TO PICK HER UP NOW!
Thank you to everyone who has helped and supported us through this journey of finding Elena. We are forever grateful. We do not have many details at this time. Again, THANK YOU.”
Family members said they believed she was lured away “by an unknown person” she’d been communicating with online.
Her mother, Sara Carmona, had made multiple public appeals for help finding her daughter, including setting up a Facebook page, called “Help Find Elena.”
