HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – The end of another Holland Farmers Market season is on Saturday.
From 9 AM to 1 PM, vendors in food, décor and more will be on hand at the 8th Street Marketplace, just outside of the Heeringa Holland Civic Center, for the final session of 2021. Although not all of the features that were in place before the COVID 19 outbreak have returned, it still was a very successful season, according to Market Manager Marcia Schrotenboer.
“It’s a win, win, win for the community,” she said on “WHTC Morning News” during the final Holland Farmers Market update of the year this past Wednesday. “We have had our farmers bringing in fresh, local food, and our community members can get fresh, local food. When you go to the grocery store, quite often the shelves are empty, but not here! It’s been a great year here.”
The Farmers Market is held with the backdrop of the annual Downtown Holland Early Shopping Jam on Saturday, as nearly 40 retailers will be opening their doors from 8 AM to 10 AM with many promotions on the final Saturday before Christmas.
The Indoor Farmers Market inside of the Heeringa Holland Civic Center place begins on January 15th, with sessions every first and third Saturday of the month through April, before the 2022 full season begins in May.
