HOLLAND TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – A 19-year-old Freeport man was injured in a two-vehicle crash on Holland’s North Side shortly after midnight on Tuesday morning.
Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sergeant Christopher Dill didn’t disclose any names, saying only that the man was driving his 1996 Chevrolet Tahoe southbound on US-31 when he apparently drove through a red light at James Street and was struck by an eastbound Chevrolet Malibu, driven by a 35-year-old Grand Haven woman. The man was taken to Holland Hospital for treatment, while the other motorist was not hurt.
Southbound US-31 was closed for about an hour as a result of the crash, which remains under investigation.
