HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Feb. 4, 2022) – It may be six weeks or so since the holiday season, but the spirit of Christmas will be evident in downtown Holland on Saturday.
Around 40 retailers will be participating in The Big Give charity shopping event, donating 15 percent of their sales, online orders and/or take away orders to various local non-profit organizations.
“It’s a great way to give back to the community for a non-profit that you support or that the community wants to support,” Holland Area Visitors Bureau Executive Director Linda Hart said on “WHTC Morning News” during her weekly appearance. “It’s also a good way to spend that extra holiday cash, that you’re looking for that meaningful way to take something home and that gives something back.”
There will also be a food drive to help bolster the Community Action House’s Food Club, with those who donate eligible to win a 50-dollar gift card for their favorite Downtown Holland retailer, with a matching 50-dollar donation made to the winner’s favorite local charity.
