WEST OLIVE, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Feb. 27, 2022) – Another sign of spring is upon us along the Lakeshore.
Registration for the annual “Step it Up!” walking program is underway. This free, eight-week long program is, according to organizers with Ottawa County’s parks and recreation and public health departments, “designed to help participants get active and visit new parks.”
Through an online platform, participants can set activity goals and track their progress, making themselves eligible for incentive prizes. An emphasis on personal levels and pace setting is emphasized.
The program includes guided group walks through parks in both Ottawa and Allegan counties, developing motivation and accountability, and making new friends along the way.
